Prescription drug abuse is common amongst the American public, especially due to the over-prescription of narcotic drugs and other addictive prescription medications that flood the brain with dopamine or otherwise get you high. People may take more of the drug than they were prescribed, use it more often than prescribed, mix prescriptions with other drugs or alcohol, use prescriptions meant for someone else, or use the medication in ways it was not meant to be used, like crushing and snorting tablets.

People who begin to misuse prescriptions will find their tolerance begins to grow, and soon enough they are craving the drug or experiencing withdrawal symptoms when they do not use it, leading to compulsive behaviors and addiction.

DayBreak treatment center in Philadelphia is the number one prescription drug rehab center, because we not only help you stop your drug abuse, but our treatment programs also help you to address the underlying psychological and social causes of addiction, regain your physical wellness, and heal the spiritual damage done by addiction.

Alumni Testimonials

Daybreak changed my life. The staff – from the nurses, therapists, managers, and most importantly – the on-site techs, were all extremely helpful in our recovery. Everything you need is available from detox all the way through residential treatment. (I did not participate in any further treatment options). If you or someone you love really wants the help, this is a great place to find it. This is definitely something that you take out what you put in, and if you participate in the groups, the therapy, and take advantage of the help that they willingly offer – you can make change here. Thanks to the Daybreak family, I am 101 days into a powerful new life.

Daybreak has been extremely beneficial in my recovery process. The staff, many of whom are in recovery themselves, have shown me repeatedly that they genuinely care about me and all the other clients here. This fact, combined with their knowledge on the recovery process, has benefited me more than any other treatment center in the past. My counselor, Holly, has been especially helpful to me. I would absolutely recommend Daybreak to a friend or anyone struggling with addiction.

Kyle M.

I cannot say enough about this place! Daybreak saved my life! From the minute I walked in the door I was treated with respect, dignity, and a compassion I had never experienced in any of the many other treatment facilities I had been to. What made the difference for me was the staff. The people who worked there truly cared about me and my recovery. There honestly was never a moment that I felt alone and the fact that many of the staff are in recovery themselves meant they truly understood what I was going through at my most vulnerable. Knowing these people were so invested in saving me from myself, were always there if I needed to talk, and that they honestly cared about me and my recovery undoubtedly made all the difference for me. Daybreak also maintains a family atmosphere in such beautiful facilities and makes sure that your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs are being met. I’ve never had such an amazing experience in treatment before. If you or a loved one is suffering please PLEASE let Daybreak give you the opportunity to get your life back.

What Is RX Rehab Like?

At DayBreak, we currently offer four levels of care, leading you through medical detox into inpatient rehab, our partial hospitalization program, our intensive outpatient program, and outpatient drug rehab in Philadephia.

When you move into our center for residential detox and rehab, you will stay in a semi-private room with one other person and have full access to luxury amenities including massage therapy, spa and salon services, and access to a movie theater.

During your 3 to 5 days in detox, your care will be overseen by a physician as you receive customized care and medications from a full nursing staff to help you avoid serious withdrawal symptoms as your body detoxifies and rebalances itself. You will receive comprehensive, integrated psychological care and medical treatments, ensuring you remain comfortable and do not suffer physically or mentally during this difficult part of treatment.

30 to 90 days in inpatient rehab is usually the next step for our patients, especially when it comes to severe addiction to drugs and alcohol and dual diagnosis for mental health and addiction treatment. In inpatient treatment you will reside inside the facility full-time, within a safe, sober, and structured gender-specific home, inside a semi-private room with your own TV in the countryside of Philadelphia. You will receive one-on-one and group therapy, along with holistic treatments, dual diagnosis treatments, and physical health care and exercise programs including yoga, massage therapy, and nutrition education.

Partial hospitalization programs at DayBreak usually last 3 to 5 weeks, and are like inpatient rehab, except you will live at home or in a sober residence, coming to the rehab center 6 days a week, from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm.

The intensive outpatient program is the next step in outpatient rehab. You will begin the IOP by attending groups and individual therapy 5 days a week, 3 hours a day, but can taper that down to 3 days a week over time. This is a customized program that is made to fit around your life so you can return to work or school and begin to incorporate your new recovery skills into your everyday life, with full, unwavering support from our team and your peer groups.

Outpatient programs are an even more flexible version of the IOP, allowing you the option of scheduling appointments and joining peer support groups at your own pace.
