Inpatient rehab provides residents of Philadelphia county a safe, supportive environment that will remove you from your home environment to fully focus on your addiction treatment program that consists of individual and group therapy processes that focus on addressing your substance use disorders through various addiction therapy methods.
You will reside within our treatment facility where you will have a room with one other roommate who will be going through similar drug addiction. Each patient will have their own tv, bed, and personal space within the room that will allow you to rest and recharge after a long day of drug or alcohol treatment.
What Is Inpatient Drug Rehab Like?
Before beginning inpatient rehab, patients will need to ensure that you have successfully removed the harmful toxins and influences from drugs through a drug detox first. Depending on your drug of choice, you may need to attend a medical detox where you will have consistent supervision and medication monitoring should you require the support of a medication assisted treatment program to alleviate the severity of your drug withdrawal symptoms and reduce the intensity of any drug cravings.
After completing your drug detox in Philadelphia, you will be of sound body and mind to address underlying causes of your substance use disorders through an inpatient rehab program. During this time, you will address your past emotional turmoil and traumas that have influenced your substance abuse behaviors while gaining the skills and knowledge to live a healthy, balanced life in addiction recovery.
Once you have completed an inpatient drug rehab program, patients are encouraged to continue with the phases of addiction recovery by accessing outpatient rehab or aftercare programs. Patients will have the option of participating in outpatient rehab programs of either partial hospitalization program or intensive outpatient programs depending on your levels of need. During this time, patients will be encouraged to participate in aftercare programming such as alumni support, addiction recovery support groups such as aa meetings or smart recovery groups and, for some, you may choose to reside within one of our sober living homes to ease the transition from inpatient rehab back into everyday life.
What To Expect During Residential Rehab
Your days within residential addiction treatment will be structured with a daily routine that consists of therapy sessions, physical activity, developing self care practices, and social events around the treatment center.
Patients will engage in the following therapy methods to address your substance abuse while developing the skills for relapse prevention:
- Cognitive Behavioral therapy
- Dual diagnosis treatment
- Dialectical Behavioral Therapy
- Medication Assisted treatment program
- Family therapy
- Couples therapy
- Experiential therapy
- Engaging in recovery meetings such as alcoholics anonymous or smart recovery meetings
After completing your individual and group addiction therapy sessions each day, patients will have the opportunity to connect with other patients through social events such as games, recreational activities, and leisure time. Patients often find that the relationships that they build within residential treatment become lifelong supports in your addiction recovery lifestyle. Patients are able to support one another to grow, heal, and connect with others which provides a whole person integrated approach to healing that is impactful and long lasting.
How Long Does Inpatient Rehab in Philadelphia Last?
Your addiction is unique to you and chances are it did not develop overnight. In fact, it progressed over time due to a number of contributing factors and experiences that have occurred. That is why each patient will need options for the length of time in inpatient rehab. Patients are able to choose from 30 day increments starting at 30 days and going to a 60 or 90 day inpatient rehab option. Should you choose a shorter term stay and require longer periods of time in rehab, you are welcome to extend your stay to ensure you get the most out of your residential treatment program.
30 Day Rehab
A 30 day inpatient rehab program is the minimum that we invite patients to attend residential treatment for. 30 days allows patients enough time to become comfortable within their new surroundings, develop trust and rapport with our onsite therapists, and fully engage in the various addiction treatment methods. 30 days provides patients with enough time to remove yourself from the triggers and stressors within everyday life and environmental factors to allow you to stay focused on your addiction recovery program.
60 Day Rehab
A 60 day rehab program allows patients to take their time with their addiction recovery program and participate in various addiction therapy methods. This amount of time will allow each patient the time you need to go through drug detox programs and allow ample time for healing from the core reasons for your substance use disorders.
90 Day Rehab
Whenever possible, it is recommended for patients to allow themselves the longest period of time within residential treatment. Staying for a full 90 days allows for you to engage in specialized treatment methods including trauma therapy, dual diagnosis treatment, and medically assisted treatment that will support you in developing positive coping strategies and tools for living a healthy life in sober living.
