How Long Does Outpatient Rehab in Philadelphia Last with DayBreak?

Generally, rehab rehab in Bucks County can last anywhere from 21 days to 90 days, but some clients need formal addiction treatment that exceeds 90 days. Typically, clients begin with a 30 day treatment program. Depending on their support needs, they can extend this time further if they choose. The longer a person spends in drug and alcohol addiction rehab, according to medical research, the less likely they will be to suffer a relapse. IOP Intensive Outpatient Program

DayBreak’s intensive outpatient (IOP) program provides clients with the support they need to achieve lasting addiction recovery but still have the flexibility they need to attend work or school. Our alcohol or drug abuse IOP programs require clients to visit our rehabilitation facilities three to four times per week for treatment sessions. After their treatment session, they can return to their home or head to work or school as they choose. During the program, clients will learn to identify their triggers for abusing street drugs, alcohol, or prescription drugs and then to develop strategies for effectively managing those triggers. An IOP is ideal for clients who don’t require 24-hour support and have been through alcohol or drug detox.

PHP Partial Hospitalization Program

In addition to residential inpatient programs, DayBreak also offers a partial hospitalization (PHP) treatment program that requires clients to spend four to five days each week at our rehab for daylong treatment sessions. While the program is similar to our inpatient treatment plans, it doesn’t require clients to reside in our facility. After treatment, clients can return home. A PHP program offers more support than an IOP program and is ideal for clients who are just beginning their road to recovery or who may also be suffering from other mental health disorders like depression or post traumatic stress disorder and need dual diagnosis treatment.

Choosing between an IOP and PHP typically comes down to a client’s support needs. Clients who are just beginning their recovery journey often begin with residential treatment or a PHP because it provides a more robust level of support that’s geared for clients who lack stability and have yet to develop the coping skills needed to effectively manage their alcohol or drug addiction. Clients who are ready to begin to transition back to their everyday lives often find that an IOP program offers the level of support they need to begin that transition process.
