Alumni Testimonials

Daybreak changed my life. The staff – from the nurses, therapists, managers, and most importantly – the on-site techs, were all extremely helpful in our recovery. Everything you need is available from detox all the way through residential treatment. (I did not participate in any further treatment options). If you or someone you love really wants the help, this is a great place to find it. This is definitely something that you take out what you put in, and if you participate in the groups, the therapy, and take advantage of the help that they willingly offer – you can make change here. Thanks to the Daybreak family, I am 101 days into a powerful new life.

Daybreak has been extremely beneficial in my recovery process. The staff, many of whom are in recovery themselves, have shown me repeatedly that they genuinely care about me and all the other clients here. This fact, combined with their knowledge on the recovery process, has benefited me more than any other treatment center in the past. My counselor, Holly, has been especially helpful to me. I would absolutely recommend Daybreak to a friend or anyone struggling with addiction.

Kyle M.

I cannot say enough about this place! Daybreak saved my life! From the minute I walked in the door I was treated with respect, dignity, and a compassion I had never experienced in any of the many other treatment facilities I had been to. What made the difference for me was the staff. The people who worked there truly cared about me and my recovery. There honestly was never a moment that I felt alone and the fact that many of the staff are in recovery themselves meant they truly understood what I was going through at my most vulnerable. Knowing these people were so invested in saving me from myself, were always there if I needed to talk, and that they honestly cared about me and my recovery undoubtedly made all the difference for me. Daybreak also maintains a family atmosphere in such beautiful facilities and makes sure that your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs are being met. I’ve never had such an amazing experience in treatment before. If you or a loved one is suffering please PLEASE let Daybreak give you the opportunity to get your life back.

Best Drug Rehab Center for Allentown Residents

In our drug rehab center, residents of Allentown PA can expect to be treated not as “drug addicts” but as people worthy of respect and dignity. At DayBreak, we know you are a nuanced person with many levels. We will ensure that through trauma-informed care, holistic treatments, behavioral therapy, individual and family counseling, and other programs you will not only heal the underlying causes of your addiction, but you will also gain the recovery skills, life skills, and relapse prevention tools you will need to live a healthy and productive life free from substance abuse.

Types of Addiction Treatment for Drug Addiction We Offer

At DayBreak, we customize each patient’s drug and alcohol rehab program (in both inpatient drug rehab and outpatient treatment for substance use disorders) to best suit their individual needs. You will have access to several types of treatment and programs that will help you heal the roots of your addiction as you work to improve your overall wellbeing and regain control over your life. Treatments may include:

  • Dual diagnosis treatment for co-occurring mental health issues and trauma, as these issues are often connected to alcohol and drug addiction
  • Cognitive behavioral therapies and other behavioral health treatments like rational emotive behavior therapy
  • Group therapy (including gender specific group therapy) family therapy, and/or individual therapy sessions
  • Trauma-focused therapy using trauma recovery empowerment and seeking safety models
  • Holistic therapy including yoga, music therapy, exercise therapy and nutrition
  • Didactic therapy and psychoeducational lectures
  • Motivational interviewing
  • Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR)

Inpatient Drug Rehab

When you come to the inpatient addiction treatment program at DayBreak, you will move into our inpatient drug rehab in Allentown, staying on the grounds 24 hours a day, beginning your drug abuse treatment program right away. Many people require some time in detox before their rehab program can take place, and when you are ready with a clear head and drug withdrawal symptoms under control, you will begin your full-time drug and alcohol treatment regimen.

Residents of Lehigh County can expect to stay in inpatient treatment for 30 to 90 days on average, with days filled with group therapy, individual therapy, doctor’s visits, 12-step groups, holistic treatments, healthy living programs, and more. This busy and structured lifestyle will promote wellness, help you learn new healthy habits, and cut out old behaviors. You will be removed from your usual routines, people and places, allowing you to focus on healing and giving you the space to grow as a person without distractions.

Outpatient Drug Rehab

Unlike inpatient treatments, an outpatient alcohol and drug rehab program does not require you to move into the drug or alcohol rehab centers. You can live at home, or inside a sober living facility as you access the treatment you need by coming in for a set number of hours each week. At DayBreak, we have varying levels of care for outpatient rehab like:

Intensive outpatient program (IOP)

Created to suit our patients who have practical needs and responsibilities, who are unable to leave home for inpatient rehab as they need to attend to family care, their careers or their school program. In our IOP near Allentown, you will begin coming in three hours a day (in the mornings, afternoons, or evenings), five days a week, then taper down to three days a week as time goes on.

Partial hospitalization program (PHP)

The PHP usually lasts 3 to 5 weeks on average, helping patients transition from inpatient care to an IOP. In a PHP, you will live outside the facility but come in 6 days a week for full days, from 8:30am to 3:00pm for evidence-based therapies, groups, holistic treatments, behavioral health treatments, individual therapy and much more.

Outpatient rehab

After you have completed your time in IOP, if you wish to stay connected to substance abuse treatment, continue seeing your therapist or the same doctors, or connect with peer groups and other relapse prevention care, you may join our flexible outpatient programs. This will be customized to provide you with the right amount of treatment you need to stay in recovery, long-term.

Heroin Rehab

Heroin rehab often includes a medication-assisted treatment detox plan, incorporated into a residential treatment program inside the rehab facility, with therapy, counseling, behavioral health care, medical care, and long-term support that may lead to outpatient treatment in Allentown for long-term support. Opioid rehab is not easy, but with the right recovery plan in place, with strong relapse prevention programming and support it is possible.

Meth Rehab

Methamphetamine detox is often very intense, requiring acute medical care due to dehydration, paranoia, anhedonia, and psychosis amongst other withdrawal symptoms. Once detox is complete, an inpatient rehabilitation plan inside our addiction center near Allentown PA is best, as meth is a psychologically addictive substance that is best treated with an integrated dual diagnosis treatment plan for co-occurring mental health issues.

Benzo Rehab

Like opioids, benzodiazepine drugs often require medication-assisted treatment during detox to help safely taper off the medication without experiencing dangerous seizures and other serious side effects. Benzo withdrawal often wanes and then comes back for weeks after detoxing, so a short-term or long-term stay in the rehab center’s inpatient program is recommended before an outpatient rehab program.

Prescription Drug Rehab

Many people who are addicted to prescription drugs are also diagnosed with a co-occurring disorder, mental health issue, or are dealing with chronic physical pain, so a dual diagnosis treatment plan, holistic treatments, relapse prevention strategies and help working through the underlying causes of addiction will help. For sleeping pills, opioid painkillers, and benzo prescription drug addictions, medication-assisted treatment is also recommended.

Cocaine Rehab

Cocaine addiction is a psychological addiction, so detox is not as intensive as it is for other drugs unless there are physical health issues like heart or blood-pressure problems. The rehabilitation process for cocaine involves dual diagnosis treatments, and long-term counseling and relapse prevention strategies, with plenty of peer support from groups and alumni.

How Long Is Rehab?

Everybody’s addiction treatment needs are unique, so the timeline will vary. Detox is often just a few days, but for some substances can last for weeks. Inpatient rehab is usually 30 to 90 days, and then outpatient drug rehab is customizable, with the partial hospitalization program lasting 3 to 5 weeks, the intensive outpatient program lasting a few months on average, and outpatient care lasting for months or even years. Your individual level of comfort will dictate the length of your program.

What Is Rehab Like?

Rehab is a safe place you can go when everything else in life feels out of control. At DayBreak, we will be there for you. Our staff is caring and kind, and our non-judgmental treatment providers have a masters-level education and plenty of experience in addiction treatment.
