Inpatient rehab is the type of rehab where you go to the treatment center, check in, and stay within its walls for the entirety of your program, with the timeline set up beforehand so you will know what to expect. You will have a semi-private room in a gender-separated residence where you will sleep, and during the day you will follow a schedule that you and your admission team created together, with agreed-upon drug and alcohol rehab therapies and treatments, retraining your brain, and learning the skills and recovery tools you will need to move forward in life as a sober person.
What Is Inpatient Drug Rehab Like?
In a DayBreak residential rehabilitation program Trenton NJ, you will live amongst other sober residents away from your everyday life, so you will have no distractions as you focus on your own health, wellness and sobriety.

What To Expect During Residential Rehab
At DayBreak treatment facility for drug abuse, all care is given by caring and respectful masters-level therapists, doctors, nursing staff, clinical psychologists, and counselors. Our low staff-to-patient ratio will ensure you get all the help and attention you need.
For residential care, you will stay in our recovery center luxury facility that features a spa, massage, and salon services, and will have access to a movie theater. Your customized treatment programs will involve therapy, groups, exercise programs and holistic care in a structured schedule, giving you a good healthy routine, healing the underlying causes of your addiction, and providing you with new relapse prevention strategies and recovery tools that will last you a lifetime.
How Long Does Inpatient Rehab in Philadelphia Last?
Everybody has a customized rehab program that is created to best help you with their unique needs, according to your recovery goals and what insurance will cover. It also depends on whether you have a co-occurring mental health issue that requires dual diagnosis treatment and whether you continue to experience withdrawal symptoms. An inpatient rehab program usually runs for a minimum of 30 days (short-term rehab) but depending on your situation may last 60 or 90 days, or even longer if you wish.
30 Day Rehab
30 days is considered short-term drug and alcohol abuse rehab. One month of consistent care, therapy, and time away from your everyday stress will help reinforce new healthy addiction recovery habits, give you time and space to breathe and reassess your life, gain recovery skills and heal underlying issues that cause addictive tendencies.
60 Day Rehab
People who are dealing with co-occurring mental health issues in a dual diagnosis plan, people with more severe addictions, and people who have a higher risk of relapsing may benefit from a longer stay in inpatient rehab before moving on. The longer you stay in rehab, the less likely you will be to relapse.
90 Day Rehab
For those recovering from drugs such as benzodiazepines, heroin, or alcohol, a 90-day long-term inpatient alcohol and drug detox in Trenton may be best, especially if there is not a supportive home to return to, as the withdrawal symptoms from these substances can return with no warning for several weeks after detox. Those with medical problems or co-occurring disorders and mental illness that requires 24-hour supervision are also better off staying in a sober residential program for long-term recovery.
Why Choose DayBreak For Residential Drug Rehab
At DayBreak addictions treatment center, we offer the full continuum of drug and alcohol treatment, with levels of care that range from your first days in inpatient medical detox through inpatient care, outpatient treatment plans and beyond. Along with inpatient rehab we have:
Detox – our detox program takes between 3 to 7 days on average, depending on which substance you are detoxing from and your level of addiction and health. Your treatment plan will include a customized medically assisted treatment (MAT) plan that will combine:
- Medications to mitigate painful or anxiety-inducing withdrawal symptoms, stop seizures and other dangerous symptoms, and to stop any drug or alcohol cravings
- Trauma-informed therapy and counseling to help you deal with the distress and emotional pain that may come during this difficult time
- 24-hour medical supervision and care, so that you can begin to heal immediately
Outpatient drug rehab is the next step after inpatient care and is also used in cases of mild addiction instead of inpatient rehab. In outpatient care you will move into a sober living home or live at home, and commute into the outpatient center for treatment. These programs are designed to work around your life and to help you with the transition back to your normal day-to-day responsibilities. There are several levels of care under the “outpatient” umbrella, including:
- Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) – a treatment program that runs for 3 to 5 weeks, 6 days a week, from 8:30am to 3:00pm. In this program, cell phones are not allowed. You will attend structured full days of therapy, groups, and other programming, getting ready to transition into the intensive outpatient program, a more flexible program.
- The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) – a drug rehab program that integrates sober living into your everyday life. You can return to work or school, live at home or in a sober home, and attend treatments in the morning from 8:30am – 11:30am, in the afternoon from noon – 3:00pm, or in the evenings, from 6:00pm to 9:00pm, Monday to Friday. You will begin at 5 days a week but taper down as your needs decrease. This program uses random drug testing to ensure you are getting enough care and to help you stay on track. Along with therapy, counseling, medical care, and mental health care, you will also receive employment support, and 12-step program facilitation through resources in Trenton.
The Daybreak treatment center is licensed through the state of Pennsylvania and accredited through the Joint Commission, meaning you can rest assured that you will be provided with safe and effective treatment, your rights as a patient will be respected, and you will receive high quality care throughout your time with us.
Our team can get you into an inpatient and/or outpatient rehab program that will help you stop drinking and quit drug use for good and can provide you connections to sober housing and a sober community outside the rehab center including alumni groups and recovery meetings through 12-step programs like Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous.
